Originating in Berlin in 1997 with the Notte Lunga dei Museii, followed by Paris and Rome, the Notte Bianca has gained enormous popularity as a showcase of performing arts in unusual locations throughout the capital city. It offers a vast and innovative program of roaming and site-specific projects, with many of Valletta’s churches, state palaces and museums opening their doors to music, dance, theatre, the visual arts, literary events and the digital arts. Notte Bianca highlights the close bond between Maltese artists and audiences while forging international collaborations.
