This relatively small, but perfectly formed new playpark in Ta’ Qali is a calm space that’s fun for all ages.

Before we begin, I should tell you that I completely made up the name for this park, I have no idea what it’s called, but it’s right at the back of Ta’ Qali National Park, directly across the road from ALKA ceramics pottery store on the edge of the craft village (map at bottom of article).

This brand-new playpark is my go-to place if the weather has been a bit soggy. It’s not sheltered from the rain, but there are no slides here, so if it has been raining or is a particularly dewy morning, I don’t have to worry about going home early because my little adventurer has a wet, freezing cold bum and I forgot to bring a towel….AGAIN. Here, the kids have plenty to play on, but will also stay relatively dry and warm.

This space offers a cute play area for your little ones, it’s squeaky clean with plenty of room to run around. There are also loads of benches and seats for those of us who want a few minutes break from running around!

In terms of facilities, there is a dedicated carpark on site, as well as a block of public restrooms and a good picnic area. There is no café on site, so make sure to bring your own snacks.

My toddler loves this park because the equipment is simple and generally safe with no multi-floored stairs to fall down, so he can really go for it. For wheelchair users, there is access throughout and a selection of wheelchair-friendly play equipment.

So, if you’re looking for a change of scenery from the same old places, then give this little gem a try. Your kids will love it!
