Turmeric Rice Salad for Kids
Ingredients:
  • 1/2 cup basmati rice
  • 1/2 cup shredded chicken
  • 1/4 cup shredded carrot
  • 1/4 cup grilled asparagus
  • few slices of a steamed beetroot
  • 1 tsp turmeric powder
Method:
  1. Prepare rice according to package instructions. Allow one minute to cool. Add the turmeric, some sale and pepper to the mix.
  2. Prepare the shredded chicken,  grill the asparagus and steam a beetroot.
  3. Assemble all the ingredients into a container.

Note: Some kids prefer to mix the salad themselves, so you can always place the ingredients on the side of the container.

Storage: Store any leftovers in the fridge in an air-tight container maximum for 2 days. It’s always better to make a new batch of rice portion when you need it. But, like that, you will have all the other ingredients handy.
